‘North Texas Kids’ Drops Print Product

2011-01-03 09.15.19_Dallas_Texas_USWhat you see here is the January issue of North Texas Kids, a magazine I pick up at my neighborhood McDonald’s. (We take the kids there when the weather makes a trip to the park unbearable.) This is the last one I will pick up at Mickey D’s, or anywhere else. In this issue, publisher and editor Minette Riordan says it will be the last one she will print. Instead, North Texas Kids will become an online magazine. “I am a huge reader, I love magazines, books, I love print!” Riordan writes in a breathless, run-on fashion. “At the same time, the print piece is what’s causing all the stress right now and stopping me from being as creative as I want to with this great product.”
