The Christmas Ties of Jerry Merwin, Ctd.

By |

Santa in wreath IMG_9303In the annals of Jerry Merwin’s Christmas ties, this one is a milestone. It’s the first one he ever bought. That was some 15 years ago, when Jerry was working in information services in Dallas for the Internal Revenue Service. Whatever moved him to make the purchase? “Just to be in the Christmas spirit,” he says. One person looked closely at the tie and told him, “Santa Claus has sort of a brown face,” Jerry recalls. “So they figured this was my ‘integration’ tie.”
