No Refusal DWI Initiative
The Dallas Police Department will conduct a No-Refusal DWI Initiative during the Labor Day Weekend. This initiative will begin at 6:00 P.M., Friday, September 3, 2010, and will end at 6:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 7, 2010.
During this initiative, if a person is arrested for DWI and refuses to voluntarily provide a breath or blood sample, the arresting officer will secure a search warrant and direct health care professionals to obtain a blood sample and have it forwarded to the District Attorney’s office for filing.
