Last year, roughly around this time I told you guys about some local bloggers who were trying to get a panel into the Interactive branch of the annual SXSW shindig in Austin. Well, Team CJ did it. Was it all because of me? PROBABLY.
Anyway, they’re trying to do it again and, once more, they’ve turned to the kingmaker. This time, it’s the sort of meta concept Getting Your Panel Into SXSW: An Amateur’s Guide. Like last year, they’ve made an amusing YouTube video to get the word out. That is below. The full release is after the jump. LOCAL BLOGGERS HAVE HIGH HOPES TO ATTEND SXSWi 2011, TEACH OTHERS
Here’s how you can help make their dreams a reality.
Six Dallas bloggers have yet again set their sights on the speaking at the South by Southwest Interactive Festival in Austin next March, and they need your help to get them there.
Last year, these fledgling citizen journalists succeeded in speaking at the festival, due in part to the support of people like you and your readers.
This Friday, August 27 is the final day to vote for the few coveted spots among panel speakers at SXSWi 2011. After voting ends, a team of judges will weigh the tally along with the ideas themselves in order to choose the speakers. If chosen, these local bloggers will be given gold passes to attend SXSWi as well as the opportunity to lead a discussion based on their topic: Getting Your Panel into SXSWi: The Amateur’s Guide.
