DBJ Managing Editor Exits Paper for D CEO

|

Christine Perez, managing editor at the Dallas Business Journal, has left the paper to become managing editor at D CEO magazine. During her 10 years at the DBJ, Christine won a huge following for her reporting on commercial real estate–she’ll write about that for us, too–and oversaw many of the paper’s “awards” programs. She also snagged a number of national and local journalism awards. Two of them came for her 2006 story on W’s HUD Secretary Alphonso Jackson; it led to a federal investigation and, ultimately, to Jackson’s resignation. Before the DBJ Christine was an editor at two business magazines in Kansas City that were very similar to D CEO. So, if you’ve got any great business-story ideas, send them Christine’s way. She’s a heckuva lot nicer than I am.
