A month ago I ran into Police Chief David Brown (pictured) and asked him what his goal was. Without hesitation, he said, “To protect the citizens of Dallas.”
Of course, he had no idea at that time of what lay before him. However, I do know that if ever leadership was needed in the Dallas police department, now is the time. When there is confusion and poor morale within the ranks of the police department, it’s not healthy to have the police chief MIA.
David, we understand and appreciate your loss, but we need your leadership.
