Plano Man Doesn’t Want Barack Obama Addressing His Kid

|

On September 8, President Barack Obama will address the nation’s schoolchildren. According to the U.S. Department of Education, “This is the first time an American president has spoken directly to the nation’s school children about persisting and succeeding in school.” Sounds like a worthy undertaking, right? Eh, not so fast. Read this e-mail making the rounds from a Plano ISD parent:

You may or may not agree with our current administration. One thing is for sure, the President of the United States whether Liberal or Conservative, Democrat or Republican, should not be addressing our children via television while they are a captive audience in our schools. They are there to learn reading, math, science and history. To listen to a political figure is a choice. Evidently they do not have a choice in this matter.

The PISD plans to show our kids a broadcast from President Obama on September 8th. This has obviously been in the works for months, if not years, by those who just gained power. Why are we finding out about this just days before its airing? Because it’s creepy that’s why.

If you disagree with this broadcast, please call PISD Superintendent Dr. Doug Otto’s office immediately. Like now. His number is 469-752-8122 and his email is [email protected]

Maybe this is just a fantastic, innocent, country loving President reaching out to wonderful young (K-12) students with skulls full of mush who are immersed in learning. Maybe it is the other side of the coin…Maybe this is an attempt to sell the image of an innocent, country loving President to our kiddos who then come home and ask us why we disagree with the great leader. Insert Bush or Obama in this discussion. When it comes down to it parents should have the last say on what their children are hearing from any politician.

Silence is consent.

This is just a guess, but Doug Otto’s day didn’t just get easier.
