Also, based on the latest issue of ESPN The Magazine (no link, since they’ve hidden it behind the pay wall), Cowboys Stadium is a fitting locale, since the Jerry World will, indeed, appear in the forthcoming version of the Madden franchise. In fact, the game’s developers have been behind the curtain, so to speak, since the blueprint stage, so the Madden version of the stadium will be identical, down to the last beam. PLAYSTATION GIVES GAMING ENTHUSIASTS ACCESS TO COWBOYS STADIUM FOR MADDEN NFL 10 TOURNAMENT
WHO: Sony Computer Entertainment America
WHAT: Join PlayStation, EA SPORTS and the Dallas Cowboys as they give 256 select fans and gaming enthusiasts the opportunity to test their skills on the unreleased Madden NFL 10 in the first football game played in Cowboys Stadium. The invite only event will take place in conjunction with the Dallas Cowboys season ticket holder appreciation day on Saturday August 8th. This will be the first chance for PlayStation and football fans to get their hands on the new Madden NFL 10 from EA SPORTS and see actual game play across the stadium’s big screens via the PLAYSTATION®3 (PS3TM).
Contestants will compete in a ladder tournament where portions of the competition will be broadcasted live, stadium wide, throughout the day for the over 10,000 season ticket holders in the stands. The winner of the tournament will take home a prize package that includes a PLAYSTATION®3 system and a copy of Madden NFL 10. Second and third place winner’s will take home a PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) prize pack that also includes Madden NFL 10.
