Scott McLemee devotes his Inside Higher Ed column this week to Jerome Weeks, the former News arts and book critic who is now spearheading the excellent art events coverage over at KERA. Because of McLemee, I read Jerome’s review of Baylor prof David Smith’s Money For Art, The Tangled Web of Art & Politics in American Democracy (the Amazon page is here). I don’t know about the book, but Jerome’s review is itself a very perceptive historical account.
