Sweet Gigs, Big Bucks

|

The May Washingtonian magazine discloses some of “the fattest paychecks” in D.C., and among the fortunate are a few familiar names. According to the mag, former Dallas mayor Steve Bartlett yanks down $1.4 million for his gig at the Financial Services Roundtable. Another ex-mayor, U.S. trade rep Ron Kirk, pulled in $556,740 at his Dallas law firm–plus nearly $500,000 for corporate board work. The city magazine also reports that former president George W. Bush, who’s signed on with the Washington Speakers Bureau, is asking for … $150,000 a speech. Nice work if he can get it.
