The D Art Slam kicks off this Thursday at f.i.g. with a VIP preview event. I’ll be there, but not because I’m a VIP. Rather, since Wick is still fishing, I’m his stand-in to emcee. Expect magic and Sotomayer jokes. Also expect to pay $100 for a ticket. But it’s totally worth it. You know why? Because Spider Monkey will be in the house. We’ve been remiss in not mentioning that she was selected as one of the artists to hang her work — in this case, erotic black-and-white photographs of Lego characters. Kidding. I haven’t yet seen the photographs that she’ll hang. If you buy one, I’m sure the price will include a personal installation by the artist. See you there.
