While the rest of the country is getting hit, our jobs continue to grow, then the growth becomes slower, then stalls until December, 2008 — then wham!

Claiming Texas exceptionalism dead is bit premature. There’s still an awful lot of blue in our state at the end of that animation. Especially when you look at the red dominating the coasts and the midwest.
