A couple of days ago, I linked to a blogger’s item about ridiculous CEO perks that included Dallas-based i2 Technologies. Unbeknownst to be (but beknownst to the kind FrontBurnervian who knownsted me), the CEO ridiculed has long since left the company. So, for i2 karmic balance, I feel compelled to point out i2 Technologies posted a 2008 fourth-quarter profit of $21.4 million, 200 percent better than the fourth quarter in the year prior. Nice.
Is there a correlation between the exit of the CEO who got the ridiculous perks and the subsequent skyrocketing profits of said company? Nah. I’m sure it’s a complete coincidence.
Wow, $21M in profit. I bet that means he could net $210M in bonuses this year.
