Rangers New Announcer Is Dave Barnett

By Tim Rogers |

Eric Nadel now knows who his radio broadcast partner will be. It’s Dave Barnett, 50, former Dallas Mavericks radio announcer, who was doing national games for ESPN on TV and radio. Dave grew up and still lives in Denton with wife Kim.

Eric Nadel tells us: “I am ecstatic. I have known Dave for almost 30 years and I am a big fan of his work. He is a very warm, friendly guy who everybody likes and respects. I was very pleasantly surprised that he was eager to get this job, and really happy that it worked out. In fact, when he first called me about it, I thought he was calling to recommend somebody else for the job. I was delighted to find out that he was calling because he was interested.”
