We Continue To Kick Reality Show Tail

Michelle AguilarLast week, I was blessed enough to sit through a brand-study presentation, wherein I learned, among many things, that readers don’t want to watch a “D reality show.” (According to the comments, they thought we meant we wanted to produce some random reality show about Dallasites. I think the idea was just to do it like The Hills, only with hot salesfolk from downstairs. It woulda worked, trust me. But I digress.) Still, I don’t see why there shouldn’t be a reality show with all North Texans, since we keep winning the ones that are currently on air. Last night, a Fort Worth woman who lost 110 pounds (and got herself in salesgal shape, I must say) won The Biggest Loser. According to Robert Philpot at the Star-T:

That Dallas-Fort Worth residents tend to get on reality shows isn’t unusual, but their success this year – in which So You Think You Can Dance, Nashville Star, Last Comic Standing and The Amazing Race were all won by people who were North Texas residents at the time – has been noteworthy.

Best part about the story? The poll question: “Are you fat?”
