The Bureau of Labor Statistics says that, as of October, while the rest of the country was going down, Houston and Dallas were going up. Washington and Boston followed in the positive column. (Hmmm, Washington. All those financial specialists recruited for the bailout?) But with energy prices no longer bucking us up, don’t expect those rosy numbers to continue when the November report comes out.
