Contentious? No doubt about it….and I will be willing to bet that the Kimbell folks will get very defensive…just a hunch though.

  2. Dallasite says:

I give it less than a 25% chance of being done. Their donors are rather proud of that green space.

  3. Bethany says:

True story – all four times I’ve gone to the Kimball and opted to perambulate in that green space, I’ve stepped it dog excrement.

  4. Guy in Fort Worth says:

I went to look at the model first hand during lunch…they (the undrepaid and overworked security guards) were not letting the riff-raff anywhere close to the model. Even thought it was out in the open in the area by the front door. Will have to wait until tomorrow.

  5. Long Time Kimbell Lawn Lover says:

I think that this one’s a done deal, folks. The lady in charge has spoken, and if the lady says that the building is gonna be built, then they’re gonna build her that building. Our two hundred and fifty bucks a year, if that’s what you mean by donors, Dallasite, doesn’t change that. Its Chinatown.

  6. Topham Beauclerk says:

From the Startlegram’s map, it looks like a fairly large piece of green space will be retained south of the new building. I wish they’d site the Piano building in that south portion, next to Lancaster, so the view from the Kahn building would still be onto green space.
