Ken Johnson, R.I.P.

Others may have already known that the former editor of the Dallas Times Herald died Sunday at UT Southwestern at age 74. I was just alerted by the AP story here, courtesy of Forbes.  Ken and I almost got into a fist fight one night at Joe Miller’s, and I was only saved when some Herald editors tackled him before he could get to me. That’s why I loved the guy: he was passionate, fierce, and one of the best in the business.
