1. Lewisville decided not to pass an English-only resolution after a divisive council meeting. They took to heart the words of the Oak Point mayor, whose city did pass such a resolution:

“It did not change the way the city is run,” he said “We did not save any money, and we did not become more efficient with this resolution. The only thing it did for the city of Oak Point was to pit neighbor against neighbor.”

2. 3. Sixty-nine! Sixty-nine! It’s currently only 69 degrees! Temps expected to top out at 79 degrees today before climbing again. Enjoy, as Betty and Jodi say, this “sweattaweatha.”
