Texas Tech Is Underwater

SMU is supposed to play there tomorrow. But take a look at these pictures of the field. Looks like they’ll need a couple wet-dry vacs to get that place in shape in game time.

Pony Up! SMU’s swim team is better than their swim team, so this should work to our advantage.

  2. Patrick says:

Not so quick Wes, Leach just signed Michael Phelps to a scholarship!

  3. The Ghost of Spike Dykes says:

Well, when you build a stadium with a field that is below ground level….

  4. Looks like the work of Crash Davis, “I can get us a rainout….”

  5. El Rey says:

I think T Boone Pickens may have had something to do with this. Alternatively, Tech could sell the water rights to Pickens.

  6. AnonyMouse says:

El Rey: Pickens probably already owns all that water in those pictures.

But Texas Tech itself is closed for the day. It’s been raining non-stop for about 4 days in Lubbock, and that place ain’t exactly built for drainage.

  7. Finally, dreams of underwater basketweaving a reality!!

I think that may be a 6 lb lunker near the 45 yard line.

    Wow! That field is underwater!
