You know, like on WWE broadcasts, when a song comes on suddenly, and announcer Jim Ross sputters, “Oh my God! That’s Triple H’s music!” That kind of entrance music. Or your superhero theme music, if you prefer, and you might if you’re a fan of I’m Gonna Git You Sucka. Tim’s would be “Sabotage” by the Beastie Boys. Eric’s still trying to decide which .38 Special/Wham!/Def Leppard song fits the bill. Me? Not sure. Right now, it’s a three-way tie between Jay-Z’s “Dirt Off Your Shoulder” and “99 Problems” and Public Enemy’s “Bring the Noize.” Though when I make my heel turn, I would probably switch to Pantera’s “Mouth For War.” Comments are ready for yours.
UPDATE: Eric just said today he’d have to go with OK GO’s “You’re So Damn Hot.”

Gotta go with Edgar Allan Poe here…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5NN8fK1tXo
Hands down Rappin 4-Tay’s “Playaz Club.” Kinda subtle, because that’s how I roll. Of course, Tim’s pick isn’t so bad. I would just have to cue it to “waaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh,” you know, because there’s just so much you do with an entrance like that.
Brian Burns’ “Storm on the Ring of Kerry”.
Either that or the remix version of Elvis Costello’s “Peace, Love, and Understanding” and Run DMC’s Bring Tha Noise.”
Monotonix–Summers and Autumns
But I change my mind daily.
and I see Tim as more of a “Brass Monkey” kind of guy.
RuPaul’s “Supermodel”
wes, you’re kidding right? you do know who recorded Bring Tha Noize, right?
and if i’m in a certain mood, this’ll work http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PEPgA4ZQf0U
anyone remember watching Mike Tyson circa 1989-90 sway back and forth to Bring Tha Noize as he entered the ring? was that really nearly 20 years ago?
so many rhetorical questions here, you’d think i was a DMN columnist
I believe Tyson’s walk to the ring was to Public Enemy’s “Welcome to the Terrordome”. Quality entrance music nonetheless. I told my wife I wanted to walk down the aisle at our wedding boxer-style to something like LL Cool J’s “Momma Said Knock You Out”. She said no…but we’re still married.
Same song I want at my funeral
“Last Christmas” by Wham
No question.
The Commodores “Machine Gun.”
good call, Tish, it was terrordome
i stand corrected
This one is only good for today and this weekend.. but I’m going with Warrant’s “Cherry Pie”.
JRP: Yes. Have you ever seen the movie “Singles”?
I would have guessed Ted Nugent, Trey.
Darth Vader March from Star Wars or Shout at the Devil by Crue.
Old 97s. Won’t Be Home.
Urge Overkill’s Sister Havana or Alec Eiffel from The Pixies.
Gwyon, if it’s not in Boogie Nights, it’s not on my playlist.
Or something by the O’Jay’s. Either “For the Love of Money” or “Backstabbers,” depending on my mood. Or the show topic.
Kid Rock’s Bawitdaba.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMaVsrZvIMA
Stevie Ray’s “Pride and Joy”.
Pixies: “Here Comes Your Man”
Or, Beastie Boys: “Sabotage”
Stevie Ray Vaughan’s ‘TIGHTROPE”.
Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk,
I’m a woman’s man–no time to talk.
Music loud and women warm, I’ve been kicked around
Since I was born.
And now it’s all right. It’s OK.
And you may look the other way.
We can try to understand
The New York Times’ effect on man
Whether you’re a brother or whether you’re a mother,
You’re stayin’ alive, stayin’ alive.
And when that one’s over…….

How about KR’s Cowboy
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rcgm5kEdGk
wes, yeah, but it’s been a while…figured you were quoting someone and i wasn’t getting it
not to mention i was stoned drunk and naked for the better part of ’87 through ’97
which reminds me, Anders Osborne’s Stoned Drunk and Naked would be a great entrance song…couldn’t find a decent link
“Street Fightin’ Man…GEEEEE SEVONNN!!”
-Chris Farley, “Dirty Work”
“Entrance of the Gladiators”

Every time my husband and I are at a baseball game, we talk about what our walk on music would be if we were baseball players. And how beat up we would be if we chose Belle and Sebastian. Like maybe “I’m a Cuckoo.”
Judy Collin’s rendition of “Send in the Clowns” or The Who’s Eminence Front.
My intro music tonight is a toss-up between the Beastie Boys “Sure Shot”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5GXj1jwb1U
and The Pretender’s “Message of Love”

Whooooohoooo!
@ Mandy, i forget what song was playing as Derek Jeter strode to take his final AB at Yankee Stadium earlier this week because of some 4:20ery and two New Castles, but it was cool…i swear
my first major league at-bat would either be madonna’s “lucky star” or “into the groove”.
Ok. It’s gotta be Judas Priest, You’ve got another thing coming

When you enter a house I have for sale –
“I’m gonna make you love me”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4z4h-lirzK4
Daytime entrances, “Hail to the Chief” by Albert Gamse and James Sanderson; after dark, “Sexy MF” by Prince. And I see wearing a cape in both instances.
Great post, Zac.
Either “Here Comes a Regular” or “Customer” by the greatest rock-n-roll band – The Replacements.
Gates of Steel by DEVO. I hear it every time i enter a room.
“I Know What Boys Like,” the Waitresses. Or “The Stroke,” Billy Squier.
Brass in Pocket by the Pretenders
“Swagger Like Us” by T.I. (w/ Lil Wayne, Jay Z and Kanye West)
beastie boys – (you gotta) fight for your right (to party!)
Simple Minds ‘New Gold Dream’.
Otherwise, I could only answer with Killing Joke or Classical Music.
So I’m uber-pretentious. All hail pompous word-whores…!

Hail to the Redskins
Static X “Push It”
Skins fans better enjoy it while you can, because at the end of the season it’ll look like this –
Cowboys : 12-4 (division champ)
Redskins : 9-7 (last place)
‘Here comes success’ by Iggy Pop
Eminem – Lose Yourself
When I played basketball in Europe, I made sure that they played this at home games while we were warming up. It got me uber-pumped up.
“Alligator” from the Grateful Dead’s 1968 freak-out release, Anthem of the Sun.
Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey.
No Question.
“The Champ” by my sweet little bunny, Ghostface Killah.
“I Can’t Get No Satisfaction” by Devo
I’ve changed my choice to yet another Jay-Z song: “Jockin’ Jay-Z.”
