Blue Mound Couple Repels Home Invaders

|

Dakota Benoit and John Pierson staged a home-invasion robbery late last night in Fort Worth, making off with a laptop and a police radio, among other things. The duo then drove two miles away to Blue Mound and tried to pull another stick-up job around midnight. It didn’t work out so well. After being confronted by one of the gunmen, Kellie Hoehn yelled for her husband, Keith, and told her kids to hide in a closet. Following a struggle and one well-thrown candlestick, Benoit had been killed with his own gun, and Pierson was critically wounded while trying to escape. So, yeah–probably not a good idea to head to Blue Mound if you’re looking for easy marks.
