Wick, Texas Magazine ain’t the only startup you can look forward to. Coming in October, you’ll get the Dallas version of THE Magazine (not to be confused with The Magazine). THE is based in Santa Fe, where the monthly has had success covering the gallery scene. The Dallas office will consist of one editor and a couple salespeople. Also, from what I’ve been told, the marketing people have quickly learned how to pronounce the name of their own magazine when calling on Dallas people. When they said they were calling from “thee magazine,” people were hearing “dee magazine” and getting confused. Now they are referring to it as “thu magazine.” Good luck with that!
