Remember DPD: Lock, Take, Hide

|

Seems like a good time to remind the folks over at the Dallas Police Department of the Lock, Take, and Hide program. Early this morning/late last night, when Senior Cpl. Colette Barber and Officer Ryan Bluhm showed up to a domestic disturbance call in the 7400 block of Chaucer Place, they didn’t follow that advice. And then:

While the officers were inside the home, a thief squeezed his or her hand through the partially cracked passenger window, unlocked the door and made off with Senior Cpl. Barber’s badge, phone, car keys and credit cards, police said.

Not the first time it’s happened, either. A tip on apprehending the daring bandit: drive around and look for the guy doing something like this.
