Sloan has done a good job of ensuring that “Legendary” precedes his name on all second and third references.

Can one be legendary if they are not dead or fading away?

Too bad everyone thinks “His Plan” will only benefit T. Boone. Hope it doesn’t go the way of Mesa!! Is this going to be the water thing, where he will control all the North Texas water supply from the land he owns over an aguafer in the Panhandle? Scarey!

At the 70th birthday party of an iconic Dallasite, a few friends and business associates got up to relate what the honoree had meant to them during his life and career. Very heartwarming, until T. Boone got up and all he talked about was paying more in income tax after turning 70 than he had in all the prior years, never mentioning the honoree. What an f***in’ egomaniac!

How much of our non-transportation-related energy comes from petroleum? I believe it’s somewhere around 2 or 3 percent. Not sure how this gigantic wind/solar project is going to create a dent in petroleum consumption. I’m all for not seeing the “Peak Oil” theory coming to reality, but I’m still trying to see the big picture…

Doesn’t Boone say something along the lines that “we import 70% of our oil from foreign countries?”

Last time I checked, I didn’t know we imported the remaining 30% from ourselves. Is that even possible…importing your own goods?
