1. Police arrested a man they believe is the Uptown burglar, a person who was breaking into apartments in Uptown and taking hours to go through people’s stuff. Turns out he lives in Hurst, which, given traffic trying to get back to the mid-cities, explains why he took his time.
2. Hurricane Dolly heads toward the Texas-Mexico border and could reach it late today. To prepare, she’s doing tequila shots and hiding her money in her shoe.
3. Couldn’t get jalapenos at Taco Diner yesterday, and you can’t get ’em at Central market, or Glorias, or many other places because of the salmonella problem. You can still get them at Subway, though, so I can still get my meatball sandwich, extra bread.
