Because next time the meathead contingent comes to Big D for a game, they may bring along the newest sports columnist for the Philadelphia Inquirer: John Gonzalez, who is leaving Boston magazine, is a former Dallas Observer sportswriter and my former workout buddy (back when we used to sneak into the gym at The Village, because we were just that broke). John also once paid me $20 to come to his house and kill a roach. I am not making that up. I would tell more embarrassing tales, but we Italian-Americans have to stick together. (Okay, half-Italian. Also half-Mexican.) Word is he plans to work his pop culture obsessions into his columns, so get ready for a daily diet of West Wing and O.C. references, Philly. Ya dirtbags.
