You compare my post about a crime (a premeditated, preventable act) with cancer (a naturally occurring biophysical event that we have very little, if any, control over)? It’s the kind of absurd retort that has no relevance to the key issue here. Everyone knows that D Magazine is largely for, and about, rich white people. Fair enough. But here on FrontBurner we reach out and talk about issues that don’t get covered in the print edition. You say that after three days, no one here had anything to add, and yet somehow if we spot Owen Wilson having coffee in the West Village, it’s instant news on FrontBurner. I can tell you that five seconds after seeing the DMN headline, every black person in Dallas had a VERY strong reaction.
