I’m still trying to process it, as it still seems absurd. Carter and I didn’t hang out together or anything, but when we ran into each other we always had some great conversations and I walked away wanting to run into him again. Soon. The fact that I never will is stunning, and the reason I won’t just seems stupid.

Over at Unfair Park, Robert’s doing a good job of giving updates on what’s known, and Merritt did a fine job of capturing the mood last night at Barley. Perhaps the most eloquent words come from Danny Balis, who knew him best. Robert cut-and-pasted Danny’s comments here.
