Nancy, I can’t say for sure that the folks at Sprouts HQ didn’t read our story. But that’s what I suspect. Because — and let me say this for everyone who has gotten his hackles up over the headline — the cover is clearly intended to be ironic. Your first clue is the subhead on the cover. “What You Should Hate Southlake: Because the kids are smarter, stronger, and better-looking than yours. And they prove it every Friday night.” Message to Sprouts HQ: look up the word “paean.” And ranch up, for goodness’ sake.
