Meet the chef with the best name I’ve heard lately: Vincenzo Indelicato, exec chef at The Club, a newly opened restaurant in the old Draelion space in the Centrum building. Last night was the grand opening par-tay, and they even found a red carpet to roll out for the occasion.
Everyone with a Bentley in town was apparently invited, and sparkly mini-dresses and spray tans were everywhere. Robert Columbo, owner of the ever-packed Trece, is also the owner here. The Club is being billed as a New York City-style supper club, and is only open for dinner, except on Fridays. This is when the magical “invitation-only” lunch happens, and they even roll out gaming tables for people to play after they finish eating. (I was going to make fun of that but it actually sounds kind of fun. Especially right now). Chef Indelicato is serving up pasta, steak, seafood, etc., all as organic and fresh as he can get. The covered patio has a fire pit and comfy seats and was my favorite part, though the gratis Dom was doing its job by that point so everything seemed softer around the edges. Waiters were dressed very formally in navy blazers with a horsey logo on the pocket. Spotted: Dasekes, Schlegels, Capera Ryan and friends, Mr. Dallas, Rozalyn St. Pe Colombo, and many more.
