My Mom is Probably Buying Something Fancy For Herself Right Now

Why? Because my father, as part of his job, is spending the next three days at the Ritz-Carlton, sans wife. Pretty sweet gig, right? Apparently, he and a few of his colleagues are learning the art of service from the Ritz-Carlton folks so they can better serve their clients back home in Waco.

Since those clients happen to be school administrators in central Texas, they will no doubt be wowed by my pop’s newfound ability to turn their napkins into origami cranes or some such when they return from the men’s room. I kid. Kind of. That said, everyone should learn that the difference between “ordinary” and “extraordinary” is that little extra. Updates TK, if I can get my dad to channel his inner George Plimpton.
