It’s Gettin’ All Fancy Up In Allen

|

Trademark Property wants its 1.15 million-square-foot “Watters Creek at Montgomery Farm” up in Allen to be the new “suburban urban village” destination for Way North Dallas and the eastern half of Plano. And if Globe Street is right, they’re on their way: 85 percent pre-leased to some pretty sophisticated retailers — Cru, Sephora, Devon Seafood Grill, Vera Bradley, Chico’s, White House|Black Market and such.

Still, that moniker could have used a little workshopping. As names go, Montgomery Farm doesn’t exactly sing “urban sophistication.” (I always favored Montgomery Holler at Green Acres.) But then neither does The Porch. (Thanks, Tristan.)
