He’s now guesting on Ebert & Roeper, and may become the host should Roger Ebert not return from his battle with cancer. This morning comes news from no less a source than Perez Hilton about our very own FoF. The reason he hasn’t given a thumbs up or down in his recent reviews is because he can’t.
Ebert – along with his late partner Gene Sisker – were smart enough to copyright their “Two Thumbs Up!” (and down) catchphrases.
And Roger hasn’t given Big Bob and Roeper permission to use their thumbs this year. The copyright renewal offer from Disney, which owns the show, was “offensively low,” Ebert says.
