Another Pissing Match With Jim Schutze?

The day’s almost done. I’ve had too much coffee to drink. My bladder’s full. So whatever. Let’s jump to find out why Jim’s proud of himself for posting my personal e-mail to Angela Hunt:

Here’s the background to get you up to speed: two weeks ago, in the run-up to the City Secretary’s decision on whether TrinityVote got enough valid petitions to call a referendum, I heard noise from connected people (and not just connected to the other side) that TrinityVote was going to come up short. I posted same. I was clear that it was rumor-level intel.

This morning, in reading the Observer‘s Unfair Park, I learned that Angela Hunt might put together a meeting with TxDOT and NTCOG and others to get some questions answered about the Trinity road. Through all this, Hunt has proven to be a reasonable and receptive person, so I dropped her a note. Hey, I said. If that meeting comes to fruition, let me know. I’d like to attend.

That’s your background. Now comes Jim Schutze, seemingly rubbing his alt-weekly hands together with glee at having obtained my note to Hunt and her response, which I thought was really funny. So funny, in fact, that I replied to Hunt and told her I will vote for her when she runs for mayor — just because she’s so funny.

To Jim I say: I will still hire you when you’re ready. I will continue to wait (scroll down).

To Hunt I say: you were proud of your response to my e-mail, weren’t you? So you forwarded it to Schutze? Is that it? I forgive you. Because, again, it was a good response, one worthy of sharing. Oh, and just one more thing: all these great questions you are now posing to TxDOT? You should have had answers to those questions a long time ago. Because putting up a blog post without all the information is one thing, but calling a referendum without all the information is another thing altogether.
