It has nothing to do with loving nature, living in a city or whatever. The reason restaurant staff and patrons should never tolerate a possum, a rat or any such thing is simple — critters can carry rabies. I assume the owners of Ozona have enough problems to worry about without that kind of liability. Or health code citations. Management should have called animal control weeks ago.
The old me would totally agree. But since I’ve seen the light, I say, “Learn to love rabies. It’s like a hickey from nature.”
