More advice from FrontBurner fireworks fans:
Side side note, the old minyards parking lot (future home of the whole foods) at abrams and gaston has chains across the entrances to the parking lot. In the past that parking lot has been filled with folks catching the fireworks in the back of pickup trucks and with a case of beer. I guess the same can happened this year, but one might need to find another place to park. And bring a lawn chair or a blanket. If you like a little distance from your fireworks, the Bank of America off of Gaston has a nice little vantage point, but it has a small parking lot.
