Putting Their Money Where Their Mouth Is

A pro-illegal immigration group in Fort Worth that wants JPS Health Network to provide preventative health care to illegals in Tarrant County, and they’re challenging a new hospital study that says a program like that would cost more than $40 million. The illegal immigration advocates, in turn, argue it would only cost between $2 million and $4.2 million a year. Full story here.

So here’s a thought. Why doesn’t the group demanding the change put the difference in escrow and agree to cover any cost over the $4.2 million, instead of making the taxpayers cover their wager? Yeah, yeah, I know. IJS.
