Leading Off

1. Fort Worth police see no problem publicizing the names of people arrested for suspicion of prostitution or solicitation, because it’s already public record. Doesn’t matter that these people are being branded months before their cases could go to trial. It’s the new method of ethical reasoning, championed here on occasion: We can publish it, and people would watch or read it, so it must be okay.

2. I’m confused by this marketing alliance, so someone help me out: Neiman Marcus and Marquis Jet (which sells time on private NetJet airplanes) are offering a co-branded card that gets you 25 hours on one and 100,000 points on the other. So … good for them.

3. Former Maverick Antoine Walker was robbed at gunpoint while in his Chicago-area home Monday night. He is fine, his agent says, as no shots were fired, the first time those words have ever been typed in connection with Antoine Walker.
