IT’S NICE TO BE #1

By |

Just had lunch with Jim Taylor, CEO of The Thomas Group, a consulting firm based in Irving. We publish their (very instructive) magazine, Knowledge Leadership. What I didn’t know is that last week the Star Telegram named them the top performing company in Dallas-Fort Worth. Here’s a snippet:

In 2006, an 88 percent increase in market capitalization, combined with an 84.7 percent increase in return on equity and 38 percent higher revenue, to $59.5 million, made it the top regional corporate performer, according to an analysis by Texas Christian University’s Neeley School of Business.

Not that Jim was bragging about it. He barely mentioned it. Me, with those kind of results I would have bought billboards…er, or maybe an ad in DallasCEO.
