Dave Lane Can’t Play Poker (Or Even Deal Cards)

By Tim Rogers |

An alert FBvian has heard something disturbing with his ears:

I have to assume you’re listening to Dave and Danny manhandling Norm’s 10-12 spot for the last time today. If not, you missed, at the outset, Dave bitching about you and Wilonsky and others being poker elitists and snobs last night and just generally dragging your collective names through the poker-mud. I’m assuming we’ll see a response to such slander on the FB.

Dave Lane did join our humble home game last night. It’s true. And it’s true, I did take issue with Dave’s play — specifically his dealing. I sat at the opposite end of the table from him and could see the face of every single card he dealt. A grifter keeps his mouth shut and watches the cards. A gentleman says to the dealer, “Hey, Mr. Fancy Radio Man! I can see every card you’re dealing. Be more careful.”

Now Robert Wilonsky? Yeah, he’s an elitist snob.
