Avner Takes a Holiday

By Nancy Nichols |

Call me peripatetic, but I still love the chef that everyone loves to hate, Avner Samuel. He’s a fiery ball of culinary madness in the face of too many bland-brained chefs around town. Anywhoo, I just learned from Our Own Teresa Gubbins that Avner has divorced himself from the ill-conceived Urban Bistro concept to focus on what he does best — Aurora. He closed the restaurant for a week and has taken his family to France. You can follow their food follies here. Tra la. I love the taste of foie gras in the morning.
