A Movie Worth Seeing

|
Image

EduardoD Magazine sponsored a charity preview last night of Bella, a new movie that premieres in Dallas in October. It’s a great film, and I can easily see why it won the People’s Choice Award at the Toronto Film Festival. On hand for a little chat afterwards were producer Leo Severino and star Eduardo Verastegui [pictured left, and he’s even better looking in person]. These guys were as interesting as the movie. Severino quit 20th Century Fox and Versategui turned down multi-million dollar packages to form their own production company to make films that matter. Bella is their first effort, and judging by the result we’ll be hearing a lot more from these two. The preview last night, by the way, benefited my beloved St. Vincent de Paul Society.
