THE REAL ESTATE COUNCIL CHICKENS OUT

|

The Real Estate Council announced its run-off endorsements with all the courage of a French girl scout troop facing Godzilla. Yes sir, TREC endorses both Tom Leppert and Ed Oakley. Jump for the release if you can stomach it, but meanwhile may I suggest TREC grow a pair?

The Real Estate Council (TREC) announced its Dallas mayoral and City Council candidate run-off endorsements today.
Members of TREC’s Public Affairs Executive Committee reviewed questionnaires submitted by the full slate of run-off mayoral and City Council candidates.
“We are pleased that many of our original endorsements are now in run-off races and pleased to continue our support. We feel that this list represents those candidates who are committed to working on the city’s most pressing issues, and who possess the skills and experience to get things done,” said Linda Owen, president of The Real Estate Council.
In the mayor’s race, the committee continues to support more than one candidate, each of whom has proposed city-wide goals and strategies that align with The Real Estate Council’s mission. Those mayoral candidates are: Tom Leppert and Ed Oakley.
TREC also supports the following candidates for Dallas City Council: District 3, Joseph Hernandez and District 7, Donald Parish.

TREC’s Public Affairs Chairman Duncan Fulton, Good Fulton & Farrell Architects, added, “The Real Estate Council seeks to positively influence the quality of local government by supporting quality candidates. Our process is oriented toward identifying those we deem to be well informed and well prepared for public office. TREC believes Dallas is fortunate to have had several races where more than one candidates had these qualities, and have formulated our endorsements accordingly.”
The Real Estate Council Public Affairs Committee seeks to identify, endorse and support community leaders for public office who are committed to the organization’s mission, which is to influence action and to support change that will accomplish long-term job growth and enhanced quality of life in the greater Dallas area.
