RE: MORE ON MORIARITY

|

I hear your frustration, Glenn. Organizations do this kind of thing all the time. If memory serves, the DSO did it with the Jaap van Zweden announcement. They go to the paper and say, “We’ll give you the heads-up a few days in advance, before we tell everyone else, so that you can publish the news when it happens and look timely. But you have to embargo everything until we say so.” So the paper had the Moriarity news first. Good for them. And good for the DTC for conducting an efficient PR campaign.

But you, coming to the story late — that is to say, coming to the story at the official announcement — were the first person to call Moriarity a centaur. Your take on the fellow in the pages of People Newspapers and in ours will mean more than what gets printed in the daily. I, for one, look forward to it.
