RE: 3 REDNECK TENORS

By Tim Rogers |

More, from a FBvian who is a good FBvian for us all:

Red Neck Tenor’s Alex Bumpas (green tee shirt) grew up in our church — Preston Hollow Presbyterian — and spoiled us from an early age with his remarkable voice. Last night showed his versatility but there’s nothing like a solo from him in and in a church. A few years ago, he came in from UNT and performed a solo for an afternoon concert given by our choir. I snuck in the back, just to hear him and left immediately after, only to find three other women who had my plan as well. He has a fan club of PHPC women of all ages. They’re supposed to be at the Bass soon. I’ll try to remember to forward the e-mail.

He’s Richardson H.S. and UNT graduate. Mom, Carol, is an RISD teacher — maybe retired. Dad is deceased. Older brother works digital graphics and has some movie credits. Fantastic people. BTW. He’s prematurely bald and was clearly in a wig last night.
