Well, the Farmers Branch measure passed with 67 percent or so, despite the proponents being outspent 7 to 1. (And despite some serious dishonesty and dirty tricks on the part of the opponents. I’m looking at you, Domingo Garcia.)
Don’t know what it means in the big picture — don’t even know if it’s a good idea and I’ll be honest, my doubts grow daily — but it surely means that money doesn’t always mean votes.
Say, if your group’s name is “Let the Voters Decide” should you really plan on lawsuits when the vote doesn’t go your way? IJS.
