A friend of FrontBurner who works at American Airlines first sends us the official AA statement.
“There is much that we could say about the plaintiffs demands and conduct in this litigation, but out of respect for the court and because we refuse to litigate pending court cases through comments in the press as the plaintiffs are attempting to do, we will not comment.”
Then he adds:
Please remember, that the plaintiff’s lawyers issued a press release with all of that language. It is standard procedure, when a plaintiff is alleging great grief at the loss of a relative, to have to produce your medical records. I think you can read between the lines of our statement. It’s a difficult PR decision to make to hold back in these instances, but we let the judges and juries try cases, not newspapers and blogs. We love newspapers and blogs — I’m just saying.
