NEW WEATHER-TRACKING POLICY ON FRONTBURNER

|

I received today an e-mail from Mike Devlin, station manager at Channel 8. It reads:

A month or so ago you e-mailed me and asked that WFAA give D Magazine credit for using a shot of a map from your magazine without credit. You also asked that we take the story off of WFAA.com. We removed the story from WFAA’s website after your pointed out that your artist drew a line on a Google map and therefore it was your work product that we should have credited.

It was just pointed out to me that the D Magazine blog is using WFAA’s radar. In that same spirit, please credit the radar image to WFAA or feel free to take it off your website.

Eric, please remove the WFAA radar images from your posts. For future weather-related posts, use Channel 11’s radar imagery.
