EVIL NEWS CHANNEL GETS COMPANY

|

I may have previously mentioned how knee-walking commode-hugging awful Channel 5, the Evil News Channel, has become. But things may be getting even eviler at Channel 11. A memo sent to the news staff at the CBS affiliate (and dutifully posted for the rest of us by Uncle Barky) calls for reporting emotional content rather than facts whenever possible. You really have to read it, but here’s a taste of the kind of “reporting” the VP for News, Regent Ducas, wants to start seeing:

This neighborhood tonight is in a state of panic, not sure what do to (sic) next.

He also says in the memo:

Feel free to stop by, email or talk about any of this.

How’s this for quick feedback: Get Regent Ducas the hell out of Dallas and hire someone who has a clue about journalism. And please don’t let Tracy Rowlett come to work armed.
